Your students will learn their Doubles and Doubles Plus One with the Highlife Rhythm from Nigeria.  For Multiplication Tables and Skip Counting, they will use the Clave Beat, which is a popular rhythmic pattern in West Africa and played throughout the world.

Each pattern is taught with hand movements (please see video above), and is translated into musical notation with popular Unifix Cubes!

To hear a sample, press the play button below — it will begin playing as soon as the file is completely loaded.

Besides the music tracks, you will also find helpful suggestions on how to use the activities with your students, and how to explore additional rhythmic patterns.   This package also includes presentation slides that are easily displayed in the classroom using a digital projector.  It’s perfect for teachers who want short and engaging activities that reinforce essential math facts.  Parents and homeschoolers will also appreciate being able to use the MP3 music files with car CD players and smartphones.

The entire package (including music and visuals) costs only $14.95.
